How to Take Distance Education Classes
- Search the University of Oregon Class Schedule at http://classes.uoregon.edu for "Distance Education" in the subject menu.
- Register for online classes via DuckWeb.
- Log in to Canvas on the first day of the term to find your online course.
Online courses at the University of Oregon are available to non-admitted students through the Community Education Program, or CEP. CEP is a student status that allows you to take classes for credit—on campus or online without formally applying for admission. Complete the CEP eligibility form at http://cep.uoregon.edu and follow the instructions to receive your student ID number and PAC, activate your DuckID, and register!
Due to high annual fees associated with maintaining compliance under the federal regulations on distance education, the University of Oregon is not able to accept registrations or applications for online classes or programs from students who reside in some states.
Former UO Students
If you were previously enrolled in a University of Oregon degree program but have not registered for classes in four or more terms, you will need to submit a re-enrollment form with the Office of the Registrar before you can register for any classes, including Distance Education classes. Check with the Office of the Registrar if you have questions about your status.
