What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is the course management system used by the University of Oregon. You will access your online courses through Blackboard at http://blackboard.uoregon.edu. Blackboard enables you to:
- Access course materials for reading, printing, or downloading
- Participate in discussion boards and live chats
- Receive and submit assignments
- Take quizzes and exams
- Monitor your grades
Instructors will use Blackboard to correspond with you about your online courses. All e-mails sent by your instructor via Blackboard are sent to your UO e-mail account (example@uoregon.edu). You should check this account frequently.
Logging in to Blackboard
When logging in to Blackboard, your username is the same as your UO Duck ID part of your UO e-mail address before the @ sign.
Example:
If your Duck ID is "johndoe," your UO e-mail address is "johndoe@uoregon.edu." Enter "johndoe" as your Blackboard username.
Your password is the same as your Duck ID password. If you forget your Duck ID password, you can reset it here.
Log in to Blackboard at http://blackboard.uoregon.edu.
Trouble Logging In
If you are unable to access Blackboard, check the compatibility of your browser on the UO Libraries browser setup page. You may also want to try resetting your password.
Accessing Your Blackboard Courses
Once you've logged in to Blackboard, a list of your courses will appear on the right side of your browser window. Click on a class link to enter the course site.
