Course Content

This course introduces students to the process of environmental impact assessment and analysis and to implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act. NEPA compliance is required for most federally sponsored projects such as timber harvests, resource management plans, energy development, public housing and transportation projects or almost anything that uses federal funding. Many states have similar environmental regulatory processes. Participants will acquire and analyze an environmental impact statement as well as become familiar with the preparation of environmental impact statements and their use in project evaluation and impact mitigation.

Distance Delivery Methods

This class will utilize a web site, online course readings, e-mailcorrespondence, and independent field trips. It is expected thatstudents will complete the course within the term, as you would if thiswere a classroom course.

Tuition

This is a "self-support" course. The course fee is listed above. This fee is paid regardless of student residency status or total course load. This fee replaces regular tuition for the four-credit courses. For more information on tuition consult the Registrar's Office. Course fees are subject to change at anytime.
