Course Content

"Volcanoes and Earthquakes" is a one-course summary of the fundamental geologic phenomena and is designed for students with a limited science background. The course focus will be on the processes surrounding and causing these events as well as their impact on human culture. In addition to historical perspectives on earthquakes and volcanoes, their prediction and mitigation will be considered.

This class is offered online, utilizing a web browser and e-mail. Please review the course access requirements to determine your eligibility. Textbook(s) is required for this class. You will also need to set up an exam proctor to take the exams.

Tuition

This is a "self-support" course. The course fee is listed above. This fee is paid regardless of student residency status or total course load. This fee replaces regular tuition for the four-credit courses. For more information on tuition consult the Registrar's Office. Course fees are subject to change at anytime.
